Beach
volleyball leagues are offered weekday evenings at a number of locations
in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Both 4 & 6 co-ed leagues are available
at either recreational, Intermediate or competitive levels.
Sand Sports also maintains a "player needing a team" listing
and is very active in placing those players not having their own
team.
Additionally, we offer business & associations' private
leagues for their employees or members. Requiring only a minimum
of 5 teams, these leagues are designed around the abilities and
requirements of the customer and their personnel.

Waiting list is
only for new teams. Teams may retain their spot in the next
league.
League Definition & Formats
Leagues run a total of 8 weeks with possible extension of 1
week for weather conditions, giving all teams a total of 7 league
matches. Leagues consist of 7 weeks of league play, with 1st and
2nd place league winners awarded prizes. League matches will consist
of games to 25 best 2 out of 3 games (time permitting). Based
on time restraints and length of games, the Official has the final
decision on scoring of all games. The 8th week is a double-elimination
tournament between all teams, with the tournament winners being
awarded prizes.
Scoring options for leagues will consist of the following:
Rally scoring: First 2 games to 25 points/cap 27, 3rd
game if needed to 15/cap 17. You need not be serving to
score. Let serves are allowed.
Scoring for league tournaments will consist of the following:
Double elimination tournament with all games played to 21 points,
win by 1 point.
Team Requirements are:
2 Person: Minimum players is 2. Maximum players allowed
on roster is 2.
3 Person: Minimum players is 2. Maximum players allowed
on roster is 5, which may be rotated or substituted.
4 Co-ed: Minimum players is 3 with a minimum of 1 female
(4-person min is 2 players). 4 players also requires min of 1
female. Max of 6 players allowed on roster which may be rotated
in or substituted.
6 Co-ed: Minimum players is 4 with a minimum of 1 female. Maximum of 10
players allowed on roster, which may be rotated or substituted.
League Fees per team:
2 Person: $80
3 Person: $120
4 Person: $160
6 Person: $180
Payment in full for league is required prior to league start.
A $25 late fee will be charged if team is not registered and league
fees paid 2 days prior to league start. A fee of $25 is required
on all returned checks.
